1.  GoldenGate features

GoldenGate is an advanced stereo gate plugin, which provides a very comfortable user interface.
The plugin can be used within host applications, which support the VST-plugin interface.

In Cubase for instance you can use GoldenGate for several purposes :
 - gating drums or other instruments
 - noise gating
 - shorten the length of sounds
 - synchronized gating (side chain)

GoldenGate supports softgating and full parameter automation.
In a multitrack environment where effects can be applied in real-time simultaneously on
multiple audio channels you can use up to 16 sync channels ("patch cables" between different gates).
The internal bit depth of audio processing is 32 bit.

Tips :

- Click above or below a fader handle for fader fine tuning
- Click on the wave view panel to get a more detailed wave
- There are 5 presets which give you basic settings for the plugin.
You can change them and write them to a bank for instances.
- If you want to mute the plugins audio output, don't mute the whole channel.
Use for Trigger : "-----" (nothing) in the first list box
- You can put a filter onto the internal trigger signal in order to isolate a certain instrument very precisely
- The look ahead time can be adjusted in the context menu.

2. GoldenGate installation

Simply copy the GoldenGate.dll into your Vstplugins directory.

3. GoldenGate controls
4. An example for using synchronized gating

say you want to automatically gate a pad sound to match the rhythm of a drum track :

1.)  open a GoldenGate insert effect in the drum channel and set the theshold so that the gate begins to work
choose for Trigger : "-----"  (now the gate produces no audio output)
2.)  open a second GoldenGate insert effect in the pad channel and select for "triggered by" the
gate number of the drum gate ( in this case "Gate 1" )
now you can play around with the gate parameters (atk, hold, rel, etc.) of the pad gate

That's it !
I hope you enjoy using this PlugIn in your music production as well as I do !
